Rostra Healthcare Ltd is dedicated to providing the highest standards of care. As such, all services delivered by Rostra Healthcare Ltd adhere to strictly defined quality assurance reporting and improvement programmes, alongside formal outcome and patient satisfaction reporting. Continual monitoring and updating of our service provision ensures excellence remains our absolute minimum standard.

Waiting list
Waiting list targets for hospitals are constantly monitored, with significant expectations for reductions in time. Varicose vein treatment in many Trusts remains one of the highest in waiting list time. The service offered by Rostra Healthcare Ltd will effectively and efficiently manage not only your current waiting list for the procedure, we will also provide an on-going care management pathway for the continual stream of patients placed under the Trusts care.

Expenditure management through fixed cost care
Rostra UK Ltd is a service driven provider of dedicated vascular care, offering a cost effective efficiency to the National Health Service. As a direct result of the efficiencies Rostra Healthcare Ltd is able to offer to the Trusts, all costs for the complete service are in line with the Department of Health published tariff prices for care provision.

Capacity management
Rostra UK Ltd provide patients with a choice in how their treatment will best meet their individual needs. The National Health Service is currently expanding more quickly than ever before. Rostra Healthcare Ltd offers diversity to healthcare provision, supplementing the current NHS capacity. This offers a significant opportunity for Trusts to ‘free up’ much sought after operating theatre capacity for other surgical procedures.

Localised service
Rostra UK Ltd provide distinct models of care, which bring efficiency and a dedicated service provision to the local area of the patients to whom we treat.
The service will be delivered through fixed sites within the hospital or Primary Care Trust and via our state of the art, purpose built mobile treatment unit, either within the hospital grounds or the Primary Care Trust region. Rostra Healthcare Ltd is a working partner of the hospitals. Patients will always remain a patient of the NHS hospital to which they were referred, and will remain under the care of the Consultant Vascular Specialist from this hospital.

Resource Management
The impact of resource management and to a certain extent capacity management within individual Trusts can often see clinicians allocated to sessions with patients that could potentially, if suitable be treated in other clinical environments outside the operating theatres. Rostra Healthcare Ltd provide their services in appropriate clinical settings and as such, anaesthetised session can be allocated to other suitable procedures.

Flexibility
The direction of the National Health Service at a strategic level is governed by the Department of Health. Alongside this, Individual Trusts have an established strategic direction. Rostra Healthcare Ltd are dedicated to providing you with a flexible service that best meets with a Trusts own direction, to ensure that the service we provide offers you the best possible solution.

Efficiency
As an organisation, Rostra Healthcare Ltd brings significant efficiencies to assist in the services provided by the National Health Service. As a result of these efficiencies, on receipt of a patients GP referral letter, our treatment commitments will deliver a referral to discharge schedule of care of 4 weeks for 70% of patients with the service offered to 100% of patients within 8 weeks. This will include, initial out patient appointment, diagnosis, treatment (if suitable) and discharge to follow up appointment in a single day.

No patient cancellations
There are significant numbers of patients moving through treatment regimes within the National Health Service on a daily basis. The treatments offered vary in their requirements from minor through to major intervention. Often major surgical procedures taking place within the operating theatres take unexpected periods of time, and as such varicose vein treatment is often a procedure - which may have to be delayed as a result of these time constraints. Due to the specialised vascular service provided by Rostra Healthcare Ltd, under normal conditions, all patients if suitable will be treated at the time of their offered appointment.

Advanced and approved procedures using latest technology
Our patients safety is of the utmost importance. It is for this reason that Rostra Healthcare Ltd adheres to strict clinical governance protocols and robust, comprehensive audit data. Continual monitoring of therapy provision for the treatment of varicose veins ensures that we are able to constantly provide the latest advances in healthcare technology. The laser treatment provided by Rostra Healthcare Ltd is approved as safe for use on patients by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.
